    Here is an ongoing timeline of my journey for a new heart valve and aortic root.

    2022/09/09My GP detects a heart murmur incidentally.
    2022/11/30Get an echocardiogram at the hospital to look at my heart valve.
    2022/12/23Get an MRI of my aortic root and arch at St George’s.
    2023/01/11Meet my cardiologist, Dr Alison under John Lainchbury.
    2023/01/13Get a dental checkup with my own dentist.
    2023/01/16Get dental clean with my dentist + amoxycilin antibiotic.
    2023/01/17My cardio case is presented at the weekly cardiothoracic meeting.
    2023/01/24Received a phone call to book an appointment with the surgeon.
    2023/01/26Letter received to confirm my meet-the-surgeon appointment.
    2023/02/14Meet my surgeon, Priscilla Beven.
    2023/02/16Receive phone call to book my pre-admission clinic (meet the doctors).
    2023/02/21Receive pre-admission forms in the mail (lots of paperwork).
    2023/03/09See Clinical Psychologist, Sandie.
    2023/03/27Do my pre-admission blood tests.
    2023/04/01Attend my pre-admission clinic to meet the Clinical Nurse Specialist, anaesthetist, house surgeon, and registrar.

    2023/05/03Be a test patient for training doctors to diagnose heart sounds.
    2023/05/09Attent a dental clearance appointment at the hospital.
    2023/05/14Original estimated surgery date passes by.
    2023/06/06Surgery pencilled in for 13/06/2023.
    2023/06/12Receive appointment letter for a Cat Scan for my coronary arteries.
    2023/06/13Surgery delayed to 20/06/2023.
    2023/06/14Surgery “confirmed” for 20/06/2023.
    2023/06/15Do my pre-surgery blood antibody typing test.
    2023/06/19Attend my CT scan and admit to hospital at 3pm for surgery on 20/06/2023!
